OENE VAN GEEL/ERNST REIJSEGER/GUUS JANSSEN

Recently, Guus Janssen brought together this trio of leading improvisors for a project of Hot House/Burcht Jazz in the city of Leiden. It was the first time, also for Ernst Reijseger, that he played with violinist Oene van Geel. The last time Janssen and Reijseger performed together was in the late 80’s, so this is nothing less than a reunion for them. Besides the natural references to the classic piano trio, they will play original compositions and arrangements from the trio and also some work by Maurice Horsthuis and Dick Katz.
