The New York Times once dubbed American guitarist Nir Felder a “whiz kid,” while NPR called him “the next big jazz guitarist”, and that’s for good reason. Felder blends jazz and fusion like no other, with a sound that is both refined and explosive. After a stellar career as a sideman – performing with the likes of John Mayer, Diana Krall, Brad Mehldau, Chaka Khan and more – he founded his own group in 2010, resulting in the acclaimed debut album Golden Age. His music bridges the rich tradition of jazz with a contemporary, urgent voice.

Felder’s trio features two other heavyweights: bassist Michael Janisch, who has performed with Joe Lovano and Kurt Rosenwinkel, and received a MOBO Award nomination; and drummer Gary Novak, one of the most respected drummers of his generation, known for his work with George Benson, Chick Corea, Michael McDonald and many others. A world-class trio from the US – virtuosic and unmistakably modern.
