NEW YEAR’S DAY CONCERT LILIAN VIEIRA & ROGERIO BICUDO

With Zuco 103 Lilian Vieira makes masses of people dance at national and international festivals. Instead of the ‘Brazilectro’ of her band she performs acoustic samba with guitarist Rogério Bicudo. The two Brazilian musicians living in The Netherlands are going back to basics in an intimate setting, with guest appearances by Eric Calmes on bass and Sean Bergin on saxophone. Bicudo is a dedicated interpreter of the ‘choro’, a genre from Rio de Janeiro which offers a lot of room for improvisation. Aside from choros the ensemble will delve into the extensive repertoire of Brazilian popular music.
