MONA LISA OVERDRIVE

Named after a cyber punk novel of William Gibson is this the new band of Stefan Lievestro and Jesse van Ruller. A steaming mixture of all the musical impressions that the band members gathered in the past years: from jazz to blue grass, from grunge to classical music. A notable part is for Jesse van Ruller. After his subtle, extremely defined guitar playing on his recent album In Pursuit, he shows himself from a different, surprising side with distorted guitar sounds. Four highly original personalities from the progressive Dutch jazz scene break musical boundaries in a radical way.
