Following two relatively intimate solo CDs Michiel Borstlap now launches a new trio-album chock-full of energy: ‘88’, featuring bassist Boudewijn Lucas and drummer Eric Kooger. Michiel Borstlap fills large halls all over the world with piano-oriented music that touches on jazz, funk, pop and classical. His many awards include a Thelonious Monk Composers Award, and Edison and a Gouden Kalf (Golden Calf) Dutch movie award for his soundtrack composing.
