Alto saxophonist and clarinet player Michael Moore is renowned all over the world for his rich musical imagination, as well as his wonderful tone. For 30 years he has been a key figure in the Amsterdam improvisational scene, not in the least as a composer for and member of the ICP Orchestra. He composes calm and clearly structured pieces for his quartet fused with jazz and classical undertones. ‘Playing a sweet melody with great impact, that is what Moore does like no other… never sentimental, but disarming nevertheless’ (de Volkskrant).
