MICHAEL BLAKE’S FREE ASSOCATION

Saxofonist Michael Blake is, apart from his own formations, known from John Lurie’s Lounge Lizards, The Jazz Composers Collective and the groups of Ben Allison. With Free Association he has a long history in playing his own repertoire. The band shifts from genre to genre, spontaneously conducted by Blake, ‘who likes to keep his music from growing static’. This tour puts him together with two of his oldest musical friends, drummer Ben Perowsky and multi instrumentalist Peck Allmond. The New Yorkers will be accompanied by Danish bass player Jonas Westergaard.
