The Metropole Orkest is also home to a renowned jazz big band that has been a regular collaborator for many years with top national and international soloists and arrangers. Led by chief conductor Vince Mendoza the orchestra performs regularly at the Bimhuis. The American continually raises the sound of the orchestra to a higher level, the big band has never sounded tighter or better than it does now. Instead of its regular a la carte-menu the Bimhuis café-restaurant will be serving a buffet dinner for € 15 from 19 hours. Reservations are recommended: 020-788 2158.
