For years Mathias Eick has traveled the world with Jaga Jazzist, the forward-thinking formation that brought together jazz and rock musicians from Norway. In his own bands he has developed his lyrical, thoughtful style, inspired by icons such as Chet Baker, Kenny Wheeler and Enrico Rava. His goal is to portray emotions without words.
