Are you a musician fascinated by the encounter between Flamenco tradition and contemporary jazz? Do you want to experience how rhythm, improvisation and composition merge in a unique cross-cultural journey? Then the Masterclass with Antonio Lizana is for you!

On 20 October 2025, internationally renowned saxophonist and Flamenco singer Antonio Lizana will give an inspiring masterclass at the BIMHUIS in Amsterdam. Drawing on his life story – growing up in a Flamenco environment and later studying modern music – he invites you to deepen your connection with your instrument. He will show how to refine rhythmic skills and share his personal approach to composition.

This active masterclass keeps participants fully engaged: improving rhythmic awareness, exploring Antonio’s compositional methods, and discovering how he blends jazz, world music and traditional Flamenco. The evening closes with an intimate concert by Antonio Lizana with members of the Marmoucha Orchestra, followed by an open jam session where everyone can join in.
