Brazilian all-rounder Morais, alias Wilson Matuoka, is an architect, city developer and a born musician. His unbridled passion resounds in his music and his compelling stories. Morais sings and plays guitar at the Bimhuis, where he will be accompanied by the Martin Fondse Project.
Morais loves good music and shows great care for his community. Around 13 years ago he founded Clube da Música, an organization which gives young musicians room to grow. Many of them became well-known, for example Paulinho Paes, Roger Brito and the brothers Lora (of Brasil Guitar Duo fame).
Morais has won important awards with his original songs such as ‘Naves Azuis’ and ‘Fio D’água’, with lyrics by his wife Neusa Raphael de Toledo Matuoka. Following performances by the Clube da Música Atibaia band in The Netherlands in 2009 and 2010, Morais is now the special guest with the versatile ensemble of pianist, composer and arranger Martin Fondse.
The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.30 til 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
