MARK DRESSER TRIO
Denman Maroney-piano, hyperpiano, Herb Robertson-trumpet, Mark Dresser-bass
Many big names used his services like Anthony Braxton, John Zorn, Dave Douglas, Gery Hemingway. For his own projects he finds inspiration in motion pictures. In 1994 he wrote a beautiful soundtrack for Robert Wiene’s classic film ‘The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari’ (1919). It was composed for prepared piano, trumpet and bass, to be heard and seen in the first set. In the second set the trio will improvise on recent work of Dresser.
