MARC RIBOT SOLO

Master guitarist Marc Ribot ‘had a substantial influence on the sound of many records of Tom Waits and other pop heroes and is known as an original, improvising band leader, icon of the New York down town scene’ (Volkskrant). Taking a break from the intense rock eruptions of his trio Ceramic Dog he released a solo album Exercises in Futility, for which he wrote and performed a series of impossible guitar compositions. His previous solo performance at the Bimhuis was dedicated to the klezmer-like compositions of John Zorn.
