MARC RIBOT REALLY THE BLUES

Marc Ribot guitar, Cooper Moore toetsen, Brad Jones bass, J.T. Lewis drums

His guitar can sound either smooth or biting; still, you can always tell it is Marc Ribot, whether he is playing with John Zorn, Tom Waits or Norah Jones. The first outpourings of his new outfit Really the Blues swing like crazy. The music is inspired by the kind of soul jazz one could hear on late night radio in the States in the 1960s. The band name is a nod to the colorful autobiography of saxophone player and hipster Mezz Mezzrow.
