Percussionist Gerry Hemingway and double bassist Mark Dresser formed the rhythm section in the groundbreaking quartet of Anthony Braxton. In the 1990s they developed themselves as composers with an adventurous oeuvre, from jazz pieces to electro-acoustic works and chamber music. In the new trio Mauger they play with Rudresh Mahanthappa, musical partner of piano talent Vijay Iyer.
