Following her critically acclaimed debut album Virgo, Maartje Meijer presents her new album Inner Circle. About the first album Mpodia wrote: ‘A record that deserves all the superlatives. Her wonderful voice is open and pure, her piano crystal clear. Her arrangements are not superficial, but moving and full of depth, a spectacular debut.’ Her new album is a special combination of polyrhythmic pop and cinematic jazz, with star roles for saxophonist Maarten Hogenhuis (BRUUT!), bass clarinet player Joris Roelofs, double bassist Tobias Nijboer (Fuse) and drummer Joan Terol Amigó.
