Alto sax player Maarten Hogenhuis celebrates success with various young bands including power jazz formation Bruut! and The More Socially Relevant Jazz Music Ensemble led by guitarist Reinier Baas. In his original compositions he displays a fresh, unrestrained approach to swing and hardbop. At the Bimhuis he will perform with his Amsterdam trio. His album Mimicry has just been released.
The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.30 til 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
