LUNAPARK
Contemporary music ensemble Lunapark prove that beautiful musical inventions lurk behind the heavy breakbeats of Massive Attack and Squarepushe. In earlier concerts the group already transposed Aphex Twin’s jumpy electronics to conventional instruments. Lunapark’s interpretations are similarly bright, pulsating and process-oriented. The ensemble’s founders describe them as making ‘digital folk music’. The musicians will take on their new challenge with singer Fanny Alofs. The program ends with a poignant work by Afro-American minimalist Julius Eastman.
