LUCIANO BIONDINI/MICHEL GODARD/ERNST REIJSEGER
i.c.w. VPRO Radio
Luciano Biondini-accordion, Michel Godard-tuba, Ernst Reijseger-cello
Three lost sons of classical music, that’s how this group could be described. As a youngster Luciano Bondini became world champion of the classical accordion. Around 1994 he dedicated himself to jazz. Ernst Reijseger, who studied with Bach-maestro Anner Bijlsma, developed a dazzling improvisation style, playing his cello like a guitar or a percussion instrument. Tuba player Michael Godard still is active as a baroque musician, but is mostly famous with jazz audiences. This year the three performers join forces for the first time.
