Luciano Biondini & Klaus Falschlunger
Luciano Biondini accordion, Klaus Falschlunger sitar
Acccordionist Luciano Biondini and sitar player Klaus Falschlunger are among those musicians who are always looking for a meeting point of different musical traditions and styles. On their first album Once in a Blue Moon, the two artists are exploring the possibilities to shift the boundaries and find a mix between Indian music, jazz, pop and folk.
As a youngster, Luciano Bondini became world champion of the classical accordion. Since then, he has developed his own blend of jazz, folk and avant-garde. The Italian accordionist has collaborated with, among others, Enrico Rava and Rabih Abou-Khalil. Austrian sitar player Klaus Falschlunger studied Indian music in New Delhi and Varanasi. In the past 25 years playing sitar, he became a leading expert on the instrument in Europe.
