LUC EX’ MUSIC OF INEVITABLE SOUNDS
Thursday17 November 2016

New music by Luc Ex based on inevitable everyday sounds, performed by an international ensemble featuring nine singular improvisers.

Ventilators, concrete mixers or a noisy shopping street: they’re examples of everyday sounds which we cannot escape. At the same time we need these sounds to keep our society running. Luc Ex chose nine of these sounds and made nine musical pieces with them, which will be performed by nine musicians. Sound technician Clare Gallagher will shape their sound in a unique live concert.

Luc Ex, originally the bass player for The Ex, has been bringing together forward-thinking musicians from all over the world for years, in various bands. For Music of Inevitable Sounds he was inspired by groundbreaking composers such as Harry Partch, John Cage and Luigi Russolo.

The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.30 til 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
