The gyspy/blues vocalist born in Bosnia & Herzegovina enjoyed a mythic status in her homeland in the 1970s as Ljiljana Petrovic with honorary titles such as the ‘Billie Holiday of Gypsy Music’ and ‘Nightingale of the Balkans’.
