The timeless 1921 silent film L’Atlantide, which is set in the Sahara, deserves a new soundtrack. The spectacular desert drama meant a breakthrough for director Jacques Feyder. For the Filmmuseum Biennale of 2007 guitarist Corrie van Binsbergen composed a score, which will be played live once again by an ensemble including Moroccan singer Touria Hadraoui and many notable figures from jazz and new music. On December 28 Van Binsbergen has another key role on the Bimhuis stage, during the Brokken Festival.
