Internationally renowned alto saxophonist Tineke Postma plays with the latin jazz combo of percussionist Jaime Rodríguez. ‘Exceptionally bright and melodic solos. Postma means what she plays’ (de Volkskrant).

Latin Crossroads stages musical crossovers, with Latin jazz as its point of departure. Saxophonist Tineke Postma is the special guest in this edition of the concert series at the Bimhuis café. In Latin Crossroads he plays with a latin jazz group led by percussion player Jaime Rodriguez, also known as band leader of Rumbatá Big Band and Rumbatá Beat Band.

Saxophone player Tineke Postma plays contemporary jazz that resonates with audiences everywhere, from Japan to America. Her aim is to ‘fly’ on stage; to this end her examples are her former teachers Chris Potter and Dave Liebman. On her album sshe has worked with well-known musicians from the international jazz world, such as Esperanza Spalding and Terri Lyne Carrington.
