The concert series Latin Crossroads stages musical crossovers, with Latin jazz as its point of departure. Special guest in this edition of the series at the Bimhuis café is Frans Cornelissen. The trombone and bass tuba player from Rotterdam works with countless bands and orchestras from jazz, pop and latin, as a composer

The Metropole Orchestra, New Cool Collective, Caro Emerald, Anouk, Alain Clark, Son Latino and Cubop City Big Band: it’s only a fraction of the enormous list of artists with whom Frans Cornelissen shares the stage. The versatile trombone player is a fearless performer of every style, from contemporary improvised music to latin and salsa. In Latin Crossroads he plays with a latin jazz group featuring top musicians from the Netherlands and Latin America, led by percussion player Jaime Rodriguez.

Afterwards DJ Philippona.

The Bimhuis restaurant is open from 5 PM until 8 PM (reservations via 020-7882158). The restaurant serves fajitas and ensaladas this evening.
