The concert series Latin Crossroads stages musical crossovers, with Latin jazz as a its point of departure. Special guest is California-born tenor Dutch saxophone player Efraïm Trujillo, one of the front men of The Ploctones and a longtimelong-time core member of Amsterdam-based Afro-Caribbean jazz group Fra Fra Sound. He crosses musical paths with a Latin jazz group featuring top musicians from the Netherlands and Latin America, led by percussion player Jaime Rodriguez. ‘Trujillo has a relaxed approach, with a broad, Dexter Gordon-like sound and a sober, effective choice of notes’ (de Volkskrant).
