These three Americans create an exciting melting pot of jazz and funk grooves, gospel ecstasy and space effects. According to the New York Times they form the best organ trio of the last decade and Downbeat refers to them as ‘a killer organ trio’. They formed in 1989, but even before they recorded a CD, drummer Bill Stewart was hired by Maceo Parker. Stewart and organ player Larry Goldings both became famous as part of John Scofield’s band. Guitarist Peter Bernstein has played with major band leaders as well, such as Sonny Rollins.
