LAGE LUND TRIO

Lage Lund is acclaimed as one of the finest jazz guitarists of his generation. With his clear style, his sense of harmony and talent for improvisation he is seen as a true heir to the legacy of Jim Hall, Pat Metheny and Kurt Rosenwinkel. These last two have been outspoken supporters of the Norwegian-born guitarist.

Lage Lund has been living in New York since 2002 and in 2005 he won the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition. On his most recent album Idlewild he combines original compositions with standards by, among others, Bobby Hutcherson, Joe Chambers en John Coltrane.
