KRUPA & THE GENES

KRUPA = Stefan Kruger and Joost Patocka, two drummers who have performed with basically everyone in the Dutch jazz world. Their new band KRUPA & The Genes is a veritable super group, a septet featuring some of the most striking band leaders in the Dutch scene: Anton Goudsmit (The Ploctones), Raphael Vanoli (Knalpot), Jasper Blom, Maarten Hogenhuis and Sean Fasciani.
Joost Patocka plays with young talents as well as established names in Dutch jazz, from Ruben Hein and Reinier Baas to Benjamin Herman and Jesse van Ruller. He is known as a sideman to jazz vocalists Rita Reys and Francien van Tuinen.
Stefan Kruger is co-founder of successful Dutch bands such as New Cool Collective and Zuco 103. He has attracted international attention as the drummer and creative director of the Caro Emerald Band.
