Konrad Koselleck Big Band with Paul Haenen
Konrad Kosseleck Big Band
Paul Haenen
He is known as the voice of Bert (of Ernie) en as his alter egos Margreet Dolman and Dominee Gremdaat. On this evening he is his own self, backed up by a big band for the very first time. Paul Haenen is a connoisseur of music, and his journalistic background and his reflective approach are perfect for this Mokum Music Night. Haenen’s philosophical and simultaneously light-hearted view on society and his broad musical interests are interpreted on stage by the Konrad Koselleck Big Band. And he might just sing a tune or two …
Haenen and Koselleck have met through a common friend, cabaret performer Vincent Bijlo. The three of them share an open view on the world and a boundless curiosity for social development, especially in Amsterdam. The concert is based on encounters with the people of Mokum and the music of this small metropolis. They will ask themselves, ‘Is Amsterdam still as tolerant and free as it used to be?’ And there’s an anecdote on cycling (disaster) tourists.
Mokum Music is realized with the help of AFK for the KKBB program Amsterdam Stories & Tories.
