The Konrad Koselleck is something else. Time and again band leader Koselleck finds adventurous combinations of jazz, cabaret, musical, pop, rock, funk, Latin and even classical music. For his new show he recruited exceptional soloists in his favorite bar Café Cook in Amsterdam-West. Anne Chris intrigues audiences with her fine voice and intricate songs. Peter Brunt, once a violinist for the Concertgebouw Orchestra, crosses over to jazz and improvisation. Ties Mellema is one of the most prominent classical saxophonists in The Netherlands. Mehmet Polat plays oud in the successful world music band Arifa. This versatile, surprising programme is a mirror of Amsterdam-West and an ode to De Baarsjes. ‘Koselleck has a keen sense of atmosphere, he knows when to slow down or fire up the band… the conviction of an ecstatic big band is phenomenal’ (de Volkskrant).

During the break and after the concert Café Cook will offer snacks and appetizers. The afterparty features music from vinyl from Café Cook and its neighbor, Ray Elderman.
