Greek-born concert pianist Maria Markesini successfully switched to jazz vocals. During this process her singing teacher Bart de Win accompanied her at the Rotterdam Conservatory and turned out to be the perfect partner to sing duets with.. Tonight they will perform with the Konrad Koselleck Big Band, presenting a repertoire made up of songs by the renowned Greek singer/songwriter Mimi Plessas as well as originals and classics by Bob Dorough, who wrote witty songs such as Devil May Care and I’m Hip. Dutch daily De Volkskrant wrote about the Konrad Koselleck Big Band: ‘Fabulous, young, sexy musicians. You don’t need more to put on a fantastic show’.
