Beethoven and other big B’s by the adventurous big band of Konrad Koselleck, with soprano Nora Fischer and cellist Annie Tångberg as ‘very special guests’.

Especially for the past Beethoven Festival, Konrad Koselleck made big band arrangements of works by the great German composer. At the Bimhuis the band leader will add music by other great B’s: Bach and Bizet, but also singer-songwriter Beck and jazz in the style of (Count) Basie. Special guests are soprano Nora Fischer and cellist Annie Tångberg. Additionally, the singular big band will contribute works from its repertory, which includes works by Mahler, Grieg, Rammstein, Wagner and many more.

‘Sure, it’s as loud and impressive as a big band is supposed to be, but beyond that it’s a revelation to hear how serene this bunch of metal can become, how Koselleck makes use of all the dynamic possibilities of his ensemble’ (de Volkskrant).

The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6 til 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
