Make way for the soloists of the Konrad Koselleck Big Band, with special attention for less prominent instruments such as piccolo, tuba and double bass.
The Konrad Koselleck Big Band is something else, continuously searching for challenges. Once every season the soloists in the band are brought to the foreground for a whole concert. This edition sheds light on less prominent instruments as piccolo, tuba and double bass. They’re an integral part of Koselleck’s style, but never before have bassist Reyer Zwart and tuba player Axel Schappert been featured as soloists in this way. Additionally, Koselleck will arrange compositions by band members, for example trombone player Bart Lust, whose oeuvre balances between bop and Latin American music.
