The eccentric American singer/songwriter Beck recently released his album Song Reader in the form of sheet music, with the invitation to all the musicians in the world to interpret the music any way they want. This lead to a flood of YouTube clips, as well as the idea for this concert by the just as eccentric Konrad Koselleck Big Band. Band leader Koselleck arranged his favorite songs from the Beck album for his orchestra plus surprise guests: singer/songwriter Marike Jager, singer Deborah J. Carter, classical musicians Nora Fischer and Ties Mellema, and Henk Kraaijeveld, winner of the Vocal Jazz Concours 2013.

The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.30 til 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Jazz Café is open (free entrance).
