PUH QUH: Peter Quistgard. KNALPOT: Raphael Vanoli gitaar/elektronica, Gerri Jäger drums/elektronica, Sandor Caron sound, Meeus van Dis lightdesign. DJ AARDVARCK: Mike Kivits

Guitar, drums, analogue machinery and striking headgear: that is what sums up Knalpot. ‘Raw electronics, wild improv and danceable dub in one energetic performance’ (de Volkskrant).

With dub, rock, electronic noise, ambient and jazz as its main pillars, Knalpot keeps on moving between sonic extremes. Original compositions are rebuilt from the ground up, multitasking between guitar, bass, drums, Casio keyboards and big amounts of analogue electronics.

Guitarist Raphael Vanoli and drummer Gerri Jäger founded Knalpot in Amsterdam and their collaboration has been described as ‘a motorbike race between Radiohead, Clark en Squarepusher’. Their recent second album Yes Please features soundman Sandor Caron as the third band member.

Support act is PUH QUH: experimental dub on Atari ST, Roland TR-505 and effects, by breakcore and noise artist Peter Quistgard. After the gig, in the cafe: a set by DJ ARDVARCK (Mike Kivits), legendary Amsterdam producer with 30 years of turntable experience and countless releases on renowned labels such as Rush Hour, Kindred Spirits and Dekmantel.
