KEYS AND STIX FESTIVAL FRIDAY

Exclusively duos with keyboard instruments and percussion will perform during the surprisingly varied Keys and Stix Festival. The combination Misha Mengelberg/Tyshawn Sorey is new: a Dutch legend and a New York super talent. Harmen Fraanje and Martijn Vink, two leading Dutch jazz musicians, improvise with relentless precision. The fresh French duo Donkey Monkey features pianist Eve Risser and drummer Yuko Oshima. Together they mix hyper fast boogie woogie with influences from the Japanese rock scene and the European avant-garde.
