With this all-star band Kenny Werner has added a spectacular chapter to his impressive career. The New York pianist/composer has been leading big bands since the age of eleven and he has an encyclopedic knowledge of jazz. Among those artists with which he he has played are Charles Mingus, Archie Shepp and Mel Lewis. For this quintet he has selected excellent sidemen. One of them is trumpet player Randy Brecker, who has performed on hundreds of albums, from Sinatra to Springsteen. Werner will perform compositions full of emotion and catharsis, including selections from his recent magnum opus No Beginning, No End. ‘Perfection. 360 degrees of soul and science in one human being.
