KEEP AN EYE – THE RECORDS 2017

During this award show three young bands will win a fully financed CD production worth 10.000 euro. The winners will be selected from eight finalists who have performed for a jury earlier in the day at the Amsterdam Blue Note hall of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. These finalists have been selected from an open call for jazz alumni of the Dutch conservatories.

In addition to the announcement of the winners of the 2017 edition of The Records, the CD presentations of the 2016 winners will take place: How Town (Lennart Heyndels double bass and compositions, Sarah Klenes, Elina Silova and Laura Polence vocals, Matiss Cudars guitar), Trempera! (Bruno Calvo trumpet, Lluc Casares tenor sax/bass clarinet, Xavi Torres piano, Giuseppe Romagnoli bass, Joan Terol drums) and O.W.A.L. (Otherwise We Are Lost) (Rémi Ploton piano/live electronics, Charley Rose alto sax, Louis Navarro double bass, Samuel Mastorakis vibes and Tancrède D. Kummer drums). Hosted by Co de Kloet.

Keep an Eye – The Records is a project of the Keep an Eye Foundation. The Keep an Eye Foundation collaborates with art schools in The Netherlands and beyond. This private organization is aimed at helping young artists and musicians at the start of their career. With Keep an Eye – The Records, the foundation aims to support a number of CD productions of beginner bands every year.
