Guitarist Kalle Kalima kicks off this double concert with progressive bands from the Finnish jazz scene. He has written music inspired by scenes from the films of Stanley Kubrick for his band K18. The quarter notes from the self-designed accordion of Veli Kujala lend an aura of mystery. Kujala also plays in Gourmet, a key group within the Finnish scene that alternately zaps through blues, jazz, tango, noise, rock and surf.
