Kaki King
Sunday12 November 2023

Kaki King is praised for her fabulous playing, where she approaches the acoustic guitar like a piano or a percussion instrument. She also shines as a singer and composer, alternating compelling songs full of honesty and emotion with layered instrumentals, balancing between folk and alternative rock.

Kaki will now celebrate the twentieth anniversary of her debut album Everybody Loves You. Alongside celebrated songs like ‘Fortuna’ and ‘Night After Sidewalk’ she will share stories about the meaning of the album, her breakthrough and its impact on her life.

Rolling Stone Magazine has called Kaki King ‘a genre unto herself’, and the New York Times has shared that she makes music as ‘ornate as a healing crystal’. Apart from her solo albums she has created music for films such as Sean Penn’s Into the Wild. She toured with Natalia Lafourcade and collaborated with the likes of Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana) and John McEntire (Tortoise).
