JURAJ STANIK TRIO

Juraj Stanik-piano, Jos Machtel-double bass, Owen Hart Jr.-drums

A ‘musician’s musician’ who is able to turn his hand to anything. Piananis Jurai Stanik played neobop with Ben van den Dungen and Jarmo Hoogendijk, he used to be a member of Five up High with Jasper Blom and Ben Herman but he also did funky stuff with Eveline and the Groove Movement. In his own compositions you can hear classical influences from Chopin to Messiaen. The Rotterdam Dagblad called him ‘A man of opposites. He plays with caution but is not afraid to use grand gestures and to create something beautiful with this’.

Celebrating jazz since 1974
