METROPOLE ORKEST MET JOE LOVANO

The revolutionary saxophone player John Coltrane surprised friends and enemies with his lyrical, sensitive playing on the 1963 album Ballads. The Metropole Orchestra celebrates the 50th anniversary of this historical jazz document. Special guest is Joe Lovano, a constant presence in the polls of the world’s best tenor saxophone players. During the first set of this concert Lovano will play his own compositions with the Metropole Big Band. The second set consists of a live performance of the entire Ballads album, featuring the complete Metropole Orchestra.
