JOVINO SANTOS NETO [BRASIL]

Brazilian pianist Jovino Santos Neto is known for his collaborations with legendary Latin musicians. For fifteen years he played in Hermeto Pascoal’s group, with which he regularly performed at the Bimhuis. He also worked with Airto Moreira, Flora Purim and Sérgio Mendes. Santos Neto and his band have mastered an endless array of Brazilian rhythms and styles, such as forró, baião and xote. On stage the pianist regularly picks up flute and accordion.
