JOOST LIJBAART GROUP OF FRIENDS

The drummer of Michiel Borstlap, Yuri Honing and Tony Overwater (among others) explores with his own band his passion for a highly interesting but slightly forgotten era from the history of jazz: the free jazz from the 60’s in which elements like chord schedules, rhythms and times were stretched without losing them altogether. The reunion of Honing and Herman (they haven’t performed side by side since the Michiel Borstlap Sextet) will create an exciting front line.
