JOEP PELT’S SOUTH AFRICAN JOURNEY

Guitarist Joep Pelt investigates the farthest reaches of South African music with the help of various local and international guest musicians. Aside from the music of Pelt’s new CD I’m Off (Excelsior Recordings) several South African songs are used for spontaneous meetings between different musical worlds. Special roles are reserved for legendary Mbaqanga star Black Moses Ngwenya on Hammond organ and guest musicians like Dutch rapper Typhoon and South African-born saxophonist Sean Bergin.
