JOEL RYAN/FRANCES-MARIE UITTI/EVAN PARKER

Joel Ryan is able to take the sound of a few acoustic instruments and transform them on stage into a full orchestra through digital technology. With equipment and software he developed himself, he is able to multiply and process live sound. In this concert Ryan meets saxophonist Evan Parker, a central figure in the international improvisation network, and cellist Frances-Marie Uitti, who can make her spontaneous inventions sound like classical sonatas or minimal music.
