JIM HALL & GEOFFREY KEEZER
Jim Hall-guitar, Geoffrey Keezer-piano
Some jazz musicians just get better and better. This certainly counts for the now 75 year old Jim Hall, who never stopped developing his style since his timeless recordings with Sonny Rollins and Jimmy Giuffre in the 50’s and 60’s. The master of the lyrical understatement and on the spot phrasing finds an equal in Geoffrey Keezer. Just like with the duets Hall did with Bill Evans, bass and drums are totally unnecessary in these extinct architectures.
