Three world class soloists, all hailing from different continents, bring their musical roots and personal tastes to this trio. Jeff Ballard (USA), Lionel Loueke (Benin) and Miguel Zenón (Puerto Rico) display extraordinary rhythmic variety and abundance in their collaboration. They play original compositions alongside pieces by such contemporaries as Brad Mehldau, Kurt Rosenwinkel and Guillermo Klein. They also perform tunes by their favourite artists, that include Thelonious Monk, Silvio Rodriguez, Stevie Wonder and The Beatles.
