New episode of Jazzportretten (Jazz Portraits) with Angelo Verploegen (trumpet) and Anton Goudsmit (guitar). Director: Jan Kelder.

The Dutch Jazz Archive has initiated a series of video portraits of important Dutch jazz musicians. The premiere of the first episodes took place at the Bimhuis, as part of its 40th anniversary. The portraits are filmed by director Jan Kelder, known for his documentaries on Piet Noordijk, John Engels and Rita Reys.

In due time all episodes will be available through the Dutch Jazz Archive website and they will be broadcast by digital television channel NPO Cultura. The series is financially backed by several sponsors including NPO and the transnational jazz research project Rhythm Changes.

The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.00 til 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
